2018 Tenuta Sesti, Monteleccio, Sangiovese - Tuscany, Italy – Reg $26.99 – 100% Sangiovese. Sesti's Monteleccio is 100% Sangiovese sourced from vineyards at the heart of the Brunello di Montalcino wine region. Derived from the Latin name for Montalcino, Monteleccio is a youthful, elegant expression of the Sesti Estate, whose wines are now widely acknowledged to be some of the finest that Montalcino has to offer. The wine is aged in medium oak barrels for 12 months before bottling. The resulting wine is full of ripe, juicy cherries. Rhubarb, mint and cedar. Thereis bright acid, medium tannins and a long finish. This wine would pair best with grilled lamb, stewed tomatoes and roast chicken

2020 El Posadero, Vinos de Madrid, Tempranillo – Madrid, Spain – Reg $11.49 – 100% Tempranillo from the region of Mardid is a easy drinking, classic tempranillo representative of Spain’s signature grape. This wine Is bright ruby-red with a large, perfumed nose. There are lots of floral notes, white pepper and spice. On the palate, the nose follows with the additions of raspberry and cherry compote, dark turned earth, smooth tannins and moderate alcohol. This fruit driven old world wine would pair perfectly with paella, spiced seafood, spicy greens and strong goat cheese. 

2018 Vina Orosina, Garnatxa Negra – Terra Alta, Spain – Reg $15.99 – 100% Grenache. Vina Orosina is located in the northerly region of Terra Alta. Known for its Mediterranean climate, limestone soils and orchards of almonds and hazelnuts, this idyllic setting is home to excellent Cava, Garnatxa and Monastrel. Vina Orosina produces a balanced wine with fresh raspberries, herb and rose on the nose. On the palate the fresh red fruit shines with the addition of balsamic, turned earth and forest floor. The wine with round, balanced and smooth with a medium finish and light tannins. This would pair well with roast duck and cranberries, prosciutto and hard cheeses, as well as roasted figs and dates.  

2019 Briar Hill, Pinot Noir– Santa Barbara, California – Reg $18.99 – 100% Pinot Noir. Briar Hill wines pay homage to the briar-covered hillsides of chaparral that frame the vineyards of Santa Barbara County. The resulting wines are flavorful, complex, and terroir driven capturing the subtle zest of salty, sage-scented winds that sweep across the county. Sourced from two of the most famous vineyards in the Santa Maria Valley, this wine captures the true essence of the growing region. The wine is plush and velvety with notes of ripe plum, black cherry and bittersweet chocolate. It finishes with silky tannins and a medium finish. Pair this Pinot with baked salmon or mushroom and truffle pasta.

NV Lamberti, Extra Dry, Prosecco – Veneto, Italy – Reg $19.99 100% Glera from the Veneto of Italy. The fruit is sourced from the best hillside vineyards across Treviso in the Veneto. Grapes are harvested slightly before full maturation to preserve acidity. The base wine is re-fermented in enclosed pressure tanks for the “prise de mousse,” utilizing the Charmat method for secondary fermentation, a method best suited to enhance the Glera grape’s aromatic qualities. There are notes of white pear, crisp green apple, white flowers and peach. There wine is crisp and dry on the finish. This would pair well with all shellfish.

2020 Domaine Aupilhac, Lou Maset, Rosé – Languedoc, France – Reg $16.49 – 30% Grenache, 30% Cinsault. 30% Mourvedre, 10% Carignan. A blend of Grenache, Cinsault, Carignan from the Langedoc. Wines have been growing and cultivated in this region dating back to the romans. The family or Domaine D’Aupilac have have been working the vineyards in the Languedoc for generations but it wasn’t until the 1990’s that they began producing their own wine. This blending of grapes creates a pretty, delicate nose with fresh red strawberries and purple flowers like lilac and violets. On the palate, the wine is fresh and light with good structure. There are fresh bright red fruits, clean acid and a smooth finish. Pair this wine with fruit salads and cream, grilled white fish in light sauces or with winter green salads.
