W H I T E S

2019 Sesti Sauvignon – Tuscany, Italy – Regularly $24.99 - 100% Sauvignon Blanc from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards in Tuscany on oceanic sedimentary soils. This estate was founded in 1987 by Giusseppe Maria Sesti when he purchased the property with the remains of the Argiano castle in Tuscany.  This SB was originally born out of a need for the Sesti family to have a white but has increased in production as their friends and neighbors discovered how its stony minerality plays perfectly of its honeyed sweet fruit flavors.

2019 Domaine Bousquet Black Rock Chardonnay – Mendoza, Argentina - Regularly $13.99 - 100% Unoaked Chardonnay from organically farmed vineyards in Mendoza, fermented in stainless steel in contact with lees. The grapes benefit from major diurnal temperature swings, achieving exuberant ripeness while retaining the juiciness that invites a second glass. This wine is un-oaked – an on-trend sensibility of little or no oak to let the fruit shine through and make the wines extremely food-friendly.

NV Sommariva Prosecco – Veneto, Italy - Regularly $20.99 - 100% Glera. For several generations the Sommariva family worked the vines on the high plains of the Veneto, and in the 1970s they shifted focus to buying up hillside vineyards in Conegliano and Valdobbbiadene. This family manually harvests, adheres to eco-friendly growing practices, and takes close watch over their vinification process which yields a delightfully fresh and full flavored expression of Prosecco.

2018 Quenard Chignin Blanc  - Savoie, France- Regularly $20.99 – 100% Jacquère from 30-60 year old vines grown on Savoie’s limestone mountainsides. One of crispest beverages to ever grace my palate. Loads of fruit mingle with lively acidiy and at 11.5% alcohol it's all too easy to drain the bottle in record time. Beautiful wine for a killer price.

R E D S

2017 Sesti Rosso Monteleccio – Tuscany, Italy - Regularly $26.69 - 100% Sangiovese from organically and biodynamically farmed vineyards in Montalcino. The name of this wine is an Italian version of the Latin name “Montalcino,” meaning “hill of the holm oaks.” This is declassified Brunello fruit at an astounding price, the wine ages one year in 30hl 'botti' and results in a fresher more fruit forward style.

2018 Guido Porro Dolcetto d Alba Pari - Piedmont, Italy - Regularly $20.99 - 100% Dolcetto from the limestone-heavy soils of Serralunga d’Alba. Vines are tended for and the wine is produced by Guido Porro, the 4th generation of his family to farm the family estate.  The Porros continue to work just as their predecessors did—the only major change over the last few decades has been the decision to bottle at the estate instead of selling the wine in demijohns or barrels—and they like to keep things simple and down to earth.

2018 Domaine de Reuilly Pinot Noir – Loire, France - Regularly $24.49 - 100% Pinot Noir from organic and biodynamic certified vineyards in the tiny appellation of Reuilly which rests on the prized Kimmeridgian limestone, a geological chain that connects the Loire Valley with Chablis in Burgundy. If you can find me a better organic pinot noir under $25, I will buy crates of it.

2017 Alma Negra M – Mendoza, Argentina - Regularly $21.49 – From Ernesto Catena, a 4th generation winemaker, who studied in Milan and London. He respresents the Bohemian side of the family and makes the wines I am most interested in. Alma Negra means “Black Soul”, because the color of the wines made from the bonarda grape is deep and intense. Ernesto wishes his blend and aging to be a mystery, but this is perenially one of my favorite Argentine reds.
